
Pastoral Development Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Pastoral Development Manager drives strategic initiatives to strengthen evangelisation and discipleship in the Archdiocese of Singapore. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role spearheads pastoral strategies and initiatives that inspire, equip, and support leaders and volunteers, ensuring that mission-oriented efforts are effectively executed to build a vibrant, evangelising and missionary Church.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and drive pastoral strategies and interventions to strengthen the church’s ability to evangelise and form disciples.
- Plan and lead the implementation of pastoral initiatives that strengthen missionary orientation, identity, and impact.
- Design conceptual and strategic frameworks and tools to help parishes and church organisations track, assess and refine pastoral effectiveness.
- Equip and empower lay pastoral leaders and volunteers to enhance pastoral impact.
- Drive and facilitate workshops, retreats, and pastoral programmes to activate and sustain participation in the mission of disciple-making.
- Assume additional responsibilities as needed or directed by the Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in pastoral studies, organisational leadership, sociology or a related field.
- Candidates without formal theological training should have at least five years of experience in pastoral ministry, mission-driven work, or strategic programme implementation.

- Facilitation and Communication: Ability to communicate, inspire, equip, and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical and Adaptive Thinking: Ability to develop conceptual and strategic pastoral frameworks and tools to assess pastoral effectiveness.
- Time management: Ability to multi-task and manage work execution in a fast-paced environment.
