Publications Executive / Senior Executive

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a proactive and organised Publications Executive / Senior Executive to support the development and delivery of high-quality print and digital resources that equip the Church’s mission of evangelisation. Reporting to the Publications Manager, this position will coordinate publication projects from concept to completion, working closely with writers, designers, editors, printers, and ministry stakeholders. This role requires strong project management and communication skills, excellent writing and editing ability, and a good understanding of the Catholic faith and the life of the Church.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Publication Development & Project Coordination

  • Coordinate the end-to-end production of print and digital publications, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop project timelines and manage workflows involving writers, editors, designers, printers, and external vendors.
  • Track project progress and proactively identify and address potential delays or challenges.
  • Support the planning and execution of publication launches and distribution efforts.

Content Development & Editorial Support

  • Research, draft, and proofread content for publications and resource materials.
  • Work with Formation team to ensure publications are theologically sound and relevant.
  • Ensure consistency in style, tone, and quality across publications.
  • Assist in content adaptation across multiple formats, including print, digital, video, and online learning resources.

Resource Innovation & Growth

  • Identify opportunities for new publications, resource series, and content offerings.
  • Support audience research and gather feedback to improve existing resources and inform future development.
  • Contribute ideas that expand the reach, accessibility, and impact of publication offerings.

Library & Resource Management

  • Maintain publication records, inventories, and digital asset libraries.
  • Assist in organising and curating ONE’s collection of publications and resources.
  • Support the accessibility of resources across various platforms.

Assume additional responsibilities as needed or directed by the Episcopal Vicar for New Evangelisation.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Communications, English, Education, Publishing. A Catholic theological certification is considered an advantage.
  2. At least 2-3 years of prior experience in one or more areas of faith-formation, project management, writing and research.
  3. Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Experienced in professional writing and/or editing.
  5. Have a collaborative attitude, enjoys working in teams in a fast paced environment.
  6. A disposition that is action-oriented, adaptive and innovative to encourage fresh expressions of evangelisation in the Archdiocese.
