Have we ever stopped to wonder at the marvels the Church gives us in our liturgical calendar? Each year, the Church leads us through Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, and Ordinary Time. Through this time, we have a rhythm that unfolds the mystery of Christ from His incarnation to His coming again in glory. These seasons are not simply dates on a calendar; they are a spiritual journey. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, the Church “re-reads and re-lives the great events of salvation history in the ‘today’ of her liturgy” (CCC 1095). Worship then becomes more than mere remembrance. It becomes our conversion, opening our hearts to grace and renewal.

To help us walk this journey more deeply, the Office for the New Evangelisation (ONE) publishes reflection booklets centred on the liturgical seasons. Filled with Scripture reflections, sharing questions, and faith-growing activities, they serve as companions for anyone seeking to grow in holiness, one week at a time. They can be used before Sunday liturgy to prepare our hearts to receive God’s Word, or after, as a way of continuing to break open the Word in daily life.

Our prayer is that these resources nurture faith and strengthen bonds, building Christian community, deepening our mission, uniting parish ministries in prayer, and fostering love within families. In this way, the beauty of these liturgical reflections is that they become instruments of faith, unity and renewal, helping us live our faith together.
